Public Meeting for Petition Drive

Somerville, Massachusetts

The Somerville Bill of Rights Defense Committee invites all interested
people to a meeting on Tuesday, May 27. At this meeting, people will
learn about the USA PATRIOT Act, the nationwide Bill of Rights Defense
Committee movement, and local efforts in Somerville. There will also
be a brief workshop on petitioning as well as reports on progress so
far (approximately 400 signatures so far!) and team-building for those
interested in campaigning in support of the proposed Somerville Civil
Liberties Safe Zone resolution. Informational packets and petitions
will be available. The meeting will be held at 7:30pm in the Main
Branch of the Somerville Public Library, at 79 Highland Avenue.  For
